This shawl was made with love from the fine pashmina grade cashmere wool of a rare Changthangi goat, a breed of cashmere goat native to the high plateaus of Ladakh and Tibet. Himalayan high altitude of 3,500 - 4,000 meters above sea level and cold temperatures as low as are the primary factors in the growth of the fine pashmina wool for which they are reared. This world's finest and rare cashmere measures between 12-15 microns in fibre thickness and features raw qualities of white, black, grey and brown colours. Handloom woven by the local community of Ladakh, the shawl is 20 times more durable than a machine-made pashmina. Under the guidance of Made in Himalaya experts, this shawl was made for Meditation and Healing purposes.
